girls on film (and some boys)
This weekend, I went to see Sin City...
And, I fuckin' loved it!!!
But, I have a chub for Robert Rodriguez and think he is a pop culture/rock star hybrid artist of brilliance that the world hasn't completely embraced or understood, yet (kinda like what John Waters was)...so, I might be a little biased...
the movie has received many positive reviews...but, believe it or not, Roeper hit the nail on the head by saying it will polarize audiences...you're either gonna love it or hate it...

he has come a long way since The Shire...freaky as fuck!

this is my main man...luvs Mickey...ever since I was a little girl...
I went with my friend, Mike who made a few observations...
1. There were only beautiful women on the screen...and, there wasn't a lot of "down" time between their cameos

2. This movie made you want to kill someone and then fuck (the adrenaline rush was nuts...sensory overload, big time...and, I found myself speeding through Chicago to meet my friends at the bar...although, there was a basketball game to catch the end of...and, I've only felt that Nascar-drive once before when I came out of the theater for The Fast and the Furious...my ex and I actually play-fought over who was gonna get to drive the car home...I won on the technicality that it was my car and he wasn't quick enough to snatch my keys away)
hence, this is a movie my mother wouldn't like
and, I've decided I like the juxtaposition of the macabre and sexual beauty...
actually, it is the marriage of anything that sharply contrasts gore and death...
like comedy, love, nativity and innocence...
nothing chills me out like watching a psycho-killer murder scene with an 50's oldie tune playing in the background...
sooo darkly beautiful...
I'm also looking forward to this (which reminds me, I've got Cubs/Red Sox tickets and you don't)...

and, I'll take Mom to this one

Mickey Rourke is great!!! I loved him in BARFLY!! He did an amazing job as MR. Charles Bukowski!!! I wanna see this Sin City Movie. It looks pretty bad ass. Thanx for your review!! Now I really wanna see it!!!
I love Micky too. I can't wait to see this , especially if it makes you want to "fuck". in which case..i'll save it for "date night" with hubby!
Hope you had a great weekend Bou...!
Awesome flick. Lots of cool lines and cool characters. Makes you want to go out and spill some blood (with style, of course!)
I'll have to make a point to see this one...haven't yet...thanks for the rec...
Oh my God, what a fucking gorgeous movie that was. Such a perfectly done over-the-top methamphetemine noir piece. I loved it. I still love it. I'm practically erect right now, just thinking of it...
I was talking about Fever Pitch, by the way...not Sin City. What's Sin City like?
